Tony Marchetti
Tony is a diagnostic engineer on the iCarsoft team, where he focuses on the codes that come from how an engine breathes — turbochargers and boost control, intake air metering, vacuum and unmetered-air leaks, and the driveability complaints that follow.
What I cover
- Turbo and boost faults — wastegate, boost pressure, charge-air leaks.
- Intake air metering — MAF/MAP, air leaks, throttle and pedal position.
- Driveability — hesitation, surging, rough idle and stalling.
How I write these guides
Driveability complaints are slippery — the same hesitation can be a leak, a sensor or boost control — so I write each guide to follow the air and the data, not the loudest guess. Checked against the SAE J2012 definition and public OBD references, and updated as new vehicle data and reader feedback come in.
