I purchased this for one specific purpose. To find the Transmission failure codes on my 06’ Mercedes Gl 450. I was able to access the normal check engine codes and errors. However, I was not able to access the TCM ECM etc…. Which was disappointing because I was sure I read that you could access them. However, this will be a useful tool for my next vehicles.

This wasn't working with my 2019 Sprinter until I updated the software, which was a minor hassle since the updater only supports Windows. After I updated I was able to clear the SRS/Airbag error
I was able to read tcm module on a slk 170 chassis and clear codes that my other scanners would not. Life saver
Ease of use. Diagnostic feature. Works on 2007 Mercedes E550 SRS Reset. Manual was lacking on Diagnostic feature, but intuitive to navigate to SRS Diagnostics screen.
2004 CLK-320 convertible. To remove the stereo, the passenger airbag light must be disconnected. When you disconnect the airbag switch, it causes the SRS warning message to appear and directs you to visit the service center. There is no way to turn it off without the correct scan tool. This tool reset the warning message when others wouldn't. I would have rated this five stars but it would not help me diagnose my headrest malfunctions. There are scan tools that will diagnose headrest issues. I'm very pleased my SRS warning message cleared.
Bought it for my 2010 Mercedes Sprinter 3500. Had limp mode issues but the generic code readers that Parts Stores have were too vague on intake problems. This showed the actual code for the sensor in question, which happened to not be plugged in all the way. Also, by just scanning, it will reset a common cruise control failure that happens randomly.
I previously used Torque Pro app to diagnose CELs, but it didn't quite do everything I needed. 2 of my sons' cars were having AC problems, and this reset their HVAC so their AC started working again. That alone was worth the cost, since otherwise at the Mercedes dealership this service would have been around $400 for each car. My car was having transmission issues and I thought I needed a new transmission. This told me the issue was actually with my gear selector. I love this scan tool and am very happy with the value and utility.

I have used this on several diff Mercedes with no issues at all. Some of the issues I see described are what I also get when I try to scan a car that I mistakenly misidentify in the menu or when I scan a car that this scanner is not advertised to scan.The scanner is well thought out also as far as issues. The actual program the scanner operates from is on a micros SD in the bottom. I had an issue with a boot error and all there is to is is format the SD card and download the icarsoft tool to reload the program. It knows what program (ie which manufacturer/years) from the scanners serial number and ID number. It took less than 10 mins to have it back running.ALSO... When I reloaded my scanner there was a newer version that I received it with so if you have issue with anything I would first make sure you are running the latest software revision.
It's definitely doing the job. Extremely glad to have it. Has helped me out so much on my 2000 Mercedes E430 with the W210 chassis. I was stuck for a while trying to figure out what was going on with it. Until I got this unit. Now if anything happens I just plug it in and fix it. Reads and communicates with the car with ease. 😃
First, this really is the same as the MB ii v 2.0. Same 3 brand choices when you turn it on (MB/Smart/Sprinter). Upgrades available on the website.I looked at lots and lots of choices, really wanted something that would handle a lot of cars, not just MB. In the end, I wanted something reasonably priced that would handle as much as possible for the Benz. In my 2013 E350, it found 22 different subsystems it could read. Very nice. For my Wrangler JK, it won't do anything--didn't even read some error codes I knew were up on the computer at the time. So, great for MB, not good for other cars.For those looking for transmission temperature (to do the fluid/filter service yourself), this one has it.I think for the price, you'll have a hard time finding a code reader that has as many features.
I like the overall use! I didn't like not having the ability to view the key buttons in the dark!
