CR V3.0 is a great scanner!

When I was looking for a more advanced scanner, youtubers recommended iCarsoft to me. Yes, I purchased it. it met all my need though it need to download software of my car brand first and it did work well.It was fast to get the data from the vehicle. The auto-scan found the trouble codes of my car, I took it to clear the code and did a bodycheck to my car. The live data was very handy and helpful. all the data of my car could be made a live graph for easy understanding.The seller told me the scanner had some special cool functions, my Toyota looked to have no connction with cool functions, but my volvo did the try, really helpful.It is a great scanner, at least I think so, though I'm not a professional mechanic,with it I can do most work even it is a job for a professional mechanic.Great scanner.

So many more features than my older device

This is really well-built. Doesn't seem like it would be easily damaged. The number of features and the ease-of-use is incredible. My old device was relatively simple. This one seems like it has just about everything a person could ask for. To be clear, I'm not a mechanic, just a guy who likes to check in to see what's going on in my car. For the everyday driver, this is amazing.

Nice scan tool, but with strange arbitrary limitations

This is the most feature-rich scan tool I have used to date. It is also the first one that I've owned that is effectively a self-powered Android tablet. Where this becomes important is that a lot of less expensive scan tools are 100% powered by the OBDII port, so every time you toggle the ignition switch on and off, the tool loses power and has to reboot, but that does not happen with this tool since it has its own power source. That alone saves a bunch of time not waiting for the tool to re-initialize over and over.The tool is definitely built to withstand abuse, with a very rugged case that should handle drops. Screen brightness and clarity is fantastic. Part of me wants to complain that it charges with a Mini USB cable instead of USB-C, but I suppose in the ruggedness department, an old-school Mini USB connector is going to be a lot more durable in the long run.The main thing I don't like about this tool is how it comes loaded with the OS, but no actual car-specific software, so it is not usable out of the box. Then, they limit how many makes you can download. The claim is that having all of them would overload the storage, but given that the onboard storage is at least 16GB, and each of the car make software modules average around 100MB, downloading software for 10 makes would only be about 1GB, and there is plenty more on-board storage available. The thing I have not been able to figure out yet (and am hesitant to experiment with for the possible risk of losing access to items I need) is if the limit of 10 is "the first 10 you download," or if you could delete some modules and then download software for other makes if you need to in the future, if you buy different cars (or want to use your tool to help out a friend, etc.)

Bought it for volvo XC90 abs system and dpf recalibration

I have a volvo XC90 and this works great for my car. I really want to make a ful health checking to my car, so when I need to do DIY calibration of abs system and dpt I purchase this CR V3.0.To do the full checking, it need to use many special functions on my volvo XC90 and this tool has been able to successfully perform them. From air suspension recalibration, headlight adjustment to testing fan, AC and much more. it provides live data, uses intuitive real-time data graphing for easy to read. Yes, the whole118 car data are diagnosed out and reasonably fast, the UI is well designed too. this tool is feature packed and meet my need.By the way, the customer service is also amazing! I have not yet get the scanner package and I get iCarsoft official service email first, it is the very warm service to customer.You do have to send an email because of support being in a different time zone of the world, but they are very prompt to respond and thorough in their responses.This tool allows me to complete car checking successfully just like a dealer would have done. Very happy for its performance so far.
