The iCarsoft OP V4.0 bidirectional scan tool supports active component testing and full bidirectional control for most vehicle modules. It sends custom commands and retrieves real-time data to execute targeted functions, including window, mirror, and door lock testing, as well as throttle adjustment — allowing you to pinpoint faults quickly. While ordinary OBD scanners only read fault codes and give limited clues, the OP V4.0 goes further with full bidirectional capability. You can directly command individual components: cycle the ABS pump motor, operate window regulators, activate the fuel pump, control throttle opening, and run output tests on almost all onboard modules. Identify the faulty part in minutes — without relying on trial-and-error.

What are the differences between the OP V4.0 and the older OP V3.0?
The OP V4.0 is an upgraded version of the OP V3.0. Wider coverage: you can download 2 additional vehicle make groups. Enhanced hardware: a 5-inch touchscreen, Android system, Quad-Core processor, 64GB storage and a 5000mAh battery.
AutoVIN fails to identify my vehicle. Is the scanner defective?
No, this does not indicate a malfunction. Submit your VIN to our support team to verify AutoVIN compatibility. You can manually select the vehicle model for diagnosis with full functionality if the feature is not yet supported, and our team will add your vehicle data in a later update.
Fault codes can be read but cannot be erased, or keep recurring after clearing. Why?
Keep the ignition on with the engine off, and save freeze-frame data before clearing codes. Permanent hardware faults require physical repair first, and certain SRS and ABS codes can only be reset after completing bidirectional tests.
The scanner turns on but cannot connect to the vehicle. How do I fix it?
Confirm your vehicle make and production year — the tool supports Opel, Vauxhall and other downloaded vehicle groups. Turn off the vehicle power-saving mode, and update the device firmware and software to the latest release.
Is offline use available for this diagnostic tool?
Yes. Offline vehicle diagnosis is fully supported. Wi-Fi access is only necessary for software upgrades.
