It does not mean the device is faulty. Send your VIN to our support team to check AutoVIN coverage. If it is not supported yet, select the model manually; normal functions are unaffected and coverage is added via free updates.

Why do DTCs fail to clear or reappear after clearing?

Keep the ignition on and engine off, and record freeze-frame data first. Persistent hardware faults need physical repair before clearing, and some SRS/ABS codes clear only after completing bidirectional tests.

Retracts the electric parking brake calipers and resets the brake pads after replacement.

Steering Angle Reset (SAS)

Calibrates the steering wheel to the straight-ahead position, or recalibrates the SAS after steering component replacement.

DPF Regeneration

Performs DPF regeneration, component replacement initialization, and DPF relearning after engine control unit replacement — for diesel particulate filter systems.

What's the difference between the POR V4.0 and the older POR V3.0?

Two main upgrades. Vehicle coverage: the POR V4.0 lets you download 2 additional vehicle make groups. Hardware: the V4.0 features a 5-inch touchscreen, Android OS, Quad-Core processor, 64GB storage, and a 5000mAh battery.

The POR V4.0 cannot recognize my vehicle by AutoVIN — is the device faulty?

No, it does not mean the device is faulty. You can send your vehicle VIN to our support team and we will check whether AutoVIN supports your vehicle. If it is not available yet, you can manually select the vehicle model to diagnose — normal functions are not affected. Our R&D team will add your VIN to the database and release relevant updates later.

DTCs read normally but fail to clear, or reappear after clearing. Why?

Keep the ignition on and the engine off, and record freeze-frame data before clearing codes. Persistent hardware faults need physical repair before the code will clear. Some SRS and ABS codes can only be cleared after completing the related bidirectional tests.

The device turns on but cannot establish a diagnostic connection. What should I do?

Verify your vehicle model and production year — the POR V4.0 supports Porsche models from 1996 to 2025 (certain 2024 functions are still being optimized). Disable the vehicle's power-saving mode, and update the firmware and software to the latest version.
