I needed one that was specific to a Porsche Cayenne diesel. This unit was perfect thank you very much.

I am still learning to operate it. It has a lot of features. I have used it on 2 different vehicles. So far so good

Work as expected

I bought this to reset the oil service interval on a 2021 Cayman GTS 4.0. The auto VIN reader did not work, but my car was correctly recognized after entering the VIN, a somewhat cumbersome process. The reset was also a little clunky, including entering the exact time of the last oil change, and I did it twice before I was able to confirm that it worked. But it did the reset, so I'm satisfied. I was also able to read past codes for when the dealership overfilled my oil, so the code reader also seemed to not only work, but provide some useful information. In the service menu structure, I see functions for replacing a battery and for bleeding the brakes. Assuming those service functions also work, I don't have any reason to buy the pricier 3.0 version, and consider this an investment that will pay for itself very quickly.

Super easy to use and very intuitive. My only purpose for this is to reset the oil change message and it worked. This item will save me 350.00 every year. Paid for itself the first time I used it.

Really nice device. Unfortunately it did not read the issues I was having. I would have kept it, but I'm trading in my car soon for a new model and this one does not support new Porsche 911. I think I will return to purchase it at a later date, but for now I will need to get something like a Duramax which is more expensive but has more options for diagnosing more items hopefully the ones I am having issues with.

If you are looking to save on the Porsche tax on service and want to DIT, this is amidst have device. From oil changes to brakes, this tool is very useful for diagnostics on your Porsche. Must have and super easy to use.

Purchased this scanner for a 2008 Porsche Cayenne S, and it worked!!!I have spent about $1,000 trying out different scanners that people said had worked. None of them did until this one.Reset my oil light, reset my air bag light after I replaced my buckle.Unfortunately it didn’t scan anything until I forced it to. Which was quite ridiculous, but I’m glad it worked anyway.

This is a worthwhile upgrade as functions like BMS reset, park brake air gap and PDK calibration on a 2016 Panamera are all possible with v3.0. Diagnostic menu has been expanded and is much easier to use. Was considering an off brand Piwis but this unit does everything I need so far. Definitely recommended :)

It is not wireless

It is amazing all the things this can do for your Porsche that a regular OBD2 sensor cannot do. Look at product details for a list of capabilities. I've used mine to reset Oil Service light and adjust mileage intervals. I adjusted tire pressure sensors after a tire rotation so dash would show proper pressure for correct tire. I reset service lights and modified service frequencies. I really like this thing.

2019 Porsche Panamera 4 EHybridI purchased to reset the oil service light. The indicator light on the dash was not on, I just changed the oil for the first time at 70K miles. The POR V3.0 tool didn't ask for mileage, only today's date.The instruction manual shows the diagnostic tool asking for mileage and date since last oil change.Maybe I need to try again. I put in my vehicle's VIN. at the start also.The last screen came up as "application complete" in the oil service module.Will see and hopefully be able to come back to share an update.Not sure how I feel about this device (yet).

This tool was pretty handy for retracting the EPB on a 2021 Macan GTS. I read a few negative reviews and decided to update the software on the device before first use. That was surprisingly easy to do via a Windows 10 PC.Plug it in. It powers on. From there I spent about 20 seconds during "figure it out as you go" to get into the Service tab and then EPB. It provides some nice step by step instructions and even a few warnings when performing the EPB "return to home" command. Ignition ON, hit F1 and I could easily hear the motors retracting.This tool now lives next to the spare tire in the Macan in case it's ever needed for diagnosis or maintenance while out on the road.

I bought version V3.0 (Enhanced Version) and received it July 3, 2024. It came with software V32.60 and when I tried to reset the oil service interval on my 2023 Macan base it said it was not compatible, just like some previous reviewers mentioned. I went to the iCarsoft website and downloaded the latest software version (V33.60 as of July 13, 2024) and installed it using my Mac (they now have an Apple version of the installer, not just Windows). After the update, everything worked fine. The scanner seems well made and it was able to read my VIN without having to manually enter it. Haven't tried any other functions yet.

Bought this specific iCarsoft for my Porsche Macan after returning a unit of the different brand which has useless manual and non intuitive interface. This unit came up after connecting to the OBD port. The VIN number has to be manually inputed vs smart scanned but all functions and steps were straight forward without using the manual. I was able to do oil and maintenance service reset easily and the warning light were off at the restart of the engine. There were also a lot of online posts and YouTube videos on DYI usage to reference. The other brand has a lot of good ratimgs but it’s all about the spec and capability of the tool, not how to use certain function… can’t even figure the format for service date and the customer support in China didn’t respond in 2 days. Much happier with this tool especially it allows battery managemt as I am replacing that soon.

Purchased to replace an older unit which was end of support for updates. Listing Porsche as one of the models it supports, found it to work in 2014 Cayenne and 2010 Carrera. Reset the oil change counter, service interval, can do other things like TPMS, airbag, and more. Avoids a costly service call to do each of these things and given the cost, it pays for itself after the first use. Also puts the brakes into service position you can change pads with sufficient clearance.Found this to be logical, key entries result in what you would suspect, graphical interface is easier than the majority of those I've used. For the price it's worth it given the services you can do at home vice dealership. Recommend this, especially for Porsche and it is a fraction of the Durametric tool, though that one does a lot more. For simple services this one is a winner.

I purchased this tool so that I can reset my oil change light on my 2014 Carrera S (991).I still take it to the dealer and of course it cost a fortune to have the oil changed.I only put about 1200 miles per year on this car.I’ve also decided to have oil changed every other year.Which is probably still overkill.In any case I plugged this unit into the OBD socket in the lower left kick panel. The unit immediately identified the car and walked me easily through the process of resetting the service light for another year.The only thing that was a little bit confusing was when they ask you to enter today’s date for instance.You key it in to the unit year month day running all the digits together.No dashes,spaces or slashesI.e. 20221014. For today’s date, which is October 14, 2022It would be nice if when you key in the date, it would ask you to Key in month day year.And the option of putting in slashes, periods or spaces between the digits would also help.Rather than running all of the numbers together.I’ll do additional reviews as I do more functions,But for now as far as I’m concerned this gadget has already paid for itself.And it’s giving me a little bit of control over my car rather than having to rely on the dealer or a shop to do the simple little function.I’m also looking forward to being able to install my own battery when the time comes.I know that on a lot of these new cars you have to reprogram the cars computer every time you put a new battery in.Again that adds a few hundred dollars on the service if you have the Porsche dealer do it.

The unit functioned as described. The interface reminds of a 10 year old GPS and is just as slow. But then again so is the car port interface and the USB 1.0 connection that is used for the computer. The manual just as well was spartan and you have to plod through the menu screens to get things done. To be fair the unit worked adequately.The issue comes regarding the "upgrade". You install a piece of software on your computer which makes you enter your email and one of the ID's from the main screen. They simply could have sent you the upgrade files to write to the SD card but I suppose they do not want to give you files so that the device can be used on a car line model that you did not "purchase". i.e They don't want to give you the files to work on an Audi if you purchased the Porsche version.The problem with the Upgrade can cause a serious future issue. On installation, like any software, you PC will ask you if you are going to allow it to make changes to your computer which of course you will say yes. Window will also warn you that the software was publisher is NOT verified. Though the software worked fine, in the process it turns off the "User Account Control" (UAC). This is the setting that warns you about changes that are to be made to your computer. The software may be safe but unknowingly with the setting left off, at some future point, you could potentially download something that will make changes without your knowledge. You might find that the Nigerian Prince is really a frog. Therefore you may want to make note what your UAC settings are prior to installation so you can keep them where you want. In the search window type UAC and a window will open to your settings.Happy Motoring.
