Bought this unit 6 months ago, it has flawlessly replaced my previous tools for bmw, Mercedes and vw. Now i just got one tool to manage the all, next purchase will be HD V3.0

Not much to complain about, do what it should and do so excellent!
Had it for few years now and it's a moneysaver as I don't need a workshop to read out and reset codes.

I unplugged the seat connections on my Smart car while upgrading the car stereo and it tripped the airbag warning light. As there was no Smart dealer in 500 miles and they wanted too much to clear the code, I purchased the i980 and cleared the code myself. Well stereo was awesome till the amp caught fire and totaled the car, so now I use the OBD on other vehicles as a code reader and code clearing.

Very easy to use with impressive capabilities. Along with detecting and viewing error codes, it includes concise explanations for each code and module plus help/info screens for many. It even has the ability to verify operation of CANBUS controlled mechanisms e.g. testing and calibration for power seats and other types of actuators. Also has specific information about modules and diagnostics for unique features like my car's retractable Vario roof. Great for DIY and "hacker" users who want to learn more and tweak certain settings.

Excellent equipment for diagnosis on multiple brands of cars. I have BMW and Jaguar cars at home and this device can do both. This is the best scanner I have used for the price point.
