The MIL may remain steady for an intermittent circuit problem or flash when an active misfire threatens the catalyst.

- Connector or harness problem: loose locks, weak pin tension, corrosion, oil or water intrusion, rubbed insulation, heat damage or a poor previous splice.
- Shared power or ground fault: a fuse, relay, supply splice, engine ground, low system voltage or charging-system problem affecting one or several coils.
- Internally failed coil or coil pack: an open, shorted or intermittent winding, integrated driver or internal connection.
- Abnormal secondary load: a worn or contaminated spark plug, excessive gap, carbon tracking, damaged boot or high-tension lead. Whether this sets P0350 depends on monitor design.
- Ignition module or intelligent-coil fault: applicable only to architectures that use a separate module or coil communication.

Can You Drive with P0350?
If only a steady MIL is present, the engine runs completely smoothly, there is no fuel odor or power loss, and the owner's manual does not instruct you to stop, limit use to a short, light-load trip for diagnosis. Avoid high speed, hard acceleration, towing and heavy loads because an intermittent connection can become an active misfire without warning.
Watch the MIL and engine behavior continuously. Clearing the code before a longer drive removes useful evidence and does not make the circuit reliable. A history code still deserves inspection when the freeze frame, harness location or weather suggests heat, moisture or vibration caused the event.
Stop driving and arrange towing for a flashing MIL, strong shaking, major power loss, stalling, a no-start, a strong raw-fuel odor or unsafe acceleration.
